From Question to Form supports artistic practices that begin with a question and stay with it. It is designed for filmmakers and interdisciplinary artists whose work is shaped by sustained inquiry — through archives, communities, materials, memory, and lived experience.
The fund offers time, structure, critical dialogue, and support for public presentation. It prioritises depth over immediacy, process over premature closure, and inquiry over certainty.
We are accepting applications from one filmmaker and one interdisciplinary artist. We are looking for practices grounded in research, not as a preliminary step, but as a mode of making. Strong applicants will bring a clear research question, a grounded methodology, and a willingness to let inquiry shape both direction and form.
An Obodo Artist Fund initiative.
